The Alco is a major marketer and distributor of ethanol in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East, and the Americas . In addition to Alcochem, Inc (the US subsidiary), the privately owned Group is headquartered in Belgium and has offices in Switzerland, France, Greece, Turkey, the USA, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa and Mauritius and has world-wide representation through a network of agents in over 20 other countries. The Group is in the process of backward integrating into production through both the acquisition of ethanol plants – NCP in South Africa and Alcodis in Mauritius as well through greenfields plants – currently has a project in the Port of Ghent, Belgium. The Group distributes approximately 200 million USgallons of ethanol annually with a turnover exceeding US$300 million per annum.
